## Flexcity is proud to have been FULLY selected for more than 350MW in the [Elia](https://www.linkedin.com/company/elia/) Capacity Remuneration Mechanism (CRM) auction!

The results of this auction demonstrate the **essential role** of demand response and storage in realizing a secure, affordable, and clean energy transition. **321MW of demand response and 41MW of batteries were selected in the CRM auction.**  
  
As a front-runner in the Belgian flexibility market, Flexcity provided more than 80% of the demand response volumes in the CRM auction, contributing to:

  
👌 A **SECURE** Belgian energy system. In times of extreme scarcity, reducing the electric consumption of the industry is equivalent to starting up a gas-fired power plant from an adequacy perspective.  
💰 **AFFORDABLE** security of supply. Demand response is limited to a remuneration of €20K/MW/year whereas gas plants claim on average €44K/MW/year. Saving the tax-payer at least €6M/year.  
🌿 **CLEAN** security of supply. Delivering energy with demand response has no CO2 emissions
