Customer Challenge

E-Connection operates a Closed System (OSKneT) with several wind farms and a BESS on the iconic Oosterschelde storm surge barrier. With 88MW of wind capacity, the site faces the challenge of renewable intermittency and grid congestion. 

E-Connection’s goal: eliminate local grid congestion, prevent energy wastage, and ensure the site contributes to grid stability—without compromising operational reliability. E-Connection installed a 20MW/40MWh BESS
