The Demand Response call for Tenders (AOE) supports the development of electricity load reductions. AOE generates an additional remuneration to the Mecapa with the same activation specificities but only includes "green reductions".

Who can participate?
1.
An asset PRODUCING OR CONSUMING ELECTRICITY ABLE TO ACHIEVE A "GREEN" LOAD REDUCTION - it excludes sites that perform load reductions through conventional self-generation such as diesel generators.
2.
An asset able to MODULATE ITS ELECTRIC POWER WITHIN 10 MINUTES UP TO 2 HOURS.
3.
An asset able to MODULATE ITS ELECTRIC POWER DURING WINTER PEAKS FROM 1H TO SEVERAL HOURS.
How does it work?
An asset consuming electricity will have to decrease its consumption within 2 hours and for a duration up to 10 hours.
An asset producing electricity will have to produce more within 2 hours and for a duration up to 10 hours.
Your remuneration
AOE generates an additional remuneration to the Capacity Mechanism remuneration. Its amount depends on the prices noticed for the Capacity Mechanism.
In 2021, a flexible asset always available could have generated up to 59 600€/MW of remuneration by participating in the Mecapa and the AOE, according to the market prices.
